500w CIT high pitched frequency coil whine?

Hello I recently purchased a CIT 500w PSU an has arrived today it does however have a high pitched whining noise when I plug it into the socket and switch on the PSU this is quite audible on par with a CRT tele much louder than my Dell computer. Should I send for warranty or is this normal for a cit power supply

If it's audible, it's not normal. CIT PSU's are generally pretty good...

OK cheers I thought so NY old dell is not even audible. Ill ring up scan tomorrow.
