Hello,
I'm having problems with my XFX 6800GT AGP graphics card (purchased from Scan Computers), or at least I think it's my graphics card causing the problem. When playing some games my pc will crash, then blue screen, then reboot. I've had the card since October and until now it's been brilliant. It's happened on the following so far:
The Sims 2
Counter Strike Source
Tribes Vengeance
I also recently had the same problem when viewing a visualisation on Windows Media Player 10.
My system meets the hardware requirements and I have a 480w power supply.
When my system reboots after the blue screen and I log on, I get the 'System has recovered from a serious error' message. I send the error report to the Microsoft database and it sends me to the solution site where I am told: 'Error: Nvidia Corporation. No specific solution found.'
These are two examples of the blue screen error messages I have recieved:

The problem seems to be caused by the following file: nv4_disp
The device drive got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates a problem with the device itself or with the device programming the hardware incorrectly.

The first error message is the one I usually get when playing games and the second was the one I recieved whilst looking at the visualisation In Windows Media Player.
I have checked my temperatures at times of the error, sometimes my card is just warm (40 degrees +) and sometimes it's quite hot (70 degrees).
I have the latest drivers and I am still having the same problem. I've rolled them back and still them same thing happens. Someone suggested I re-format my system but I'm beginning to think it's a hardware problem.
I have submitted this query to the XFX Support team but after reading more closely on thier site it says that I should really contact my supplier. It says they aim to reply within a few hours but it's been 4 days now so I've given up hope with them. I have also used the scan online technical query system but haven't recieved a reply yet.
Thanks in advance,
