Firstly its a good spec anyway, the only thing that i would consider changing is maybe going for a Nforce 4 Mobo.

Go with a Nforce 4.
Get an artic cooler on the xt850. The default ATI ones are nasty.
No soundcard ? Im guessing your just going to use onboard ?

This fan will be more quiet and should cool the CPU better than the AK-856, too bad it is not in stock. I personally feel that a 12 quids HSF won't be good enough for a high-end CPU.

Use a SATA HDD instead of a PATA one to use those liffle SATA cables.

All the post you can take a look at and decide on which route you want to go down but there all valid points on what people have used and know is good kit, so take your pick, most of the guys who post here are quite clued up on whats hot and whats not, so there choices are worth a look.

If I were you I'd ditch that PSU and get a Tagan 480W.

yep id agree. although I havent heard anything bad about those PSUs a Tagan or similar high qyuality psu would be a good idea. especially with all the nice (very nice) kit you are buying

I'd suggest at least a 480w in case of future demand.

I like the Tagans and Enermax myself - although the Ultra is a great PSU with the removable cables

Nothing wrong with the Asus A8V-E Deluxe! It's excellent value for money but not a great overclocker (with my components at least). The WiFi was really important for me so I chose this board.

However, if you want to overclock then it's probably not a great choice IMO. Also, if you want to add more than two SATA drives then it's probably not a good choice either as you'll need to buy a third party controller. I've been using it for a few months now and, apart from a couple of teething problems, it's been fairly stable. I'm actually undervolting my 939 3500+ for low temps!
