    Question New SLi system question

    Hi
Can someone tell my how noisy (or quiet) the new AMD SLi Special box is? Considering it has 2 gfx cards? Compared to say a Radeon XT800...

    Thanks
    Paul

BTW: Liking the new 3XS site, much improved no server trips to workout the final price- much better :-)

It is hard to actually state a level of noise as many peoples thresholds are different in that aspect, but I guess judging that there are 2 cards in there then it will be a bit more noiser than the X800XT.

I personally have 1 x 6800GT in my system and that is hardly noticeable to my ears ( but I've been told I'm deaf by colleagues and my mother as well.... either that or they are telling me my names Geoff )

In the end - it is a case of performance over noise really, but I will check with sysbuild to see if they can give a dB value.

    Cool sounds ok(groan)...
But performance wise, how does it compare to a 6800GT?
    Thanks

They perform just a little bit slower than 1 6800GT and in all honesty I personally could have had 2 x 6600GT's in my machine but opted for a 6800GT so in the future I can add another in case the market and games require the power
