I'd been looking to buy parts for a new computer since my current one broke down last week. I made a list on here and decided to opt for the finance option rather than pay over a grand up front.

After I added my stuff to the basket and went through the application process, I expected things to go through instantly, but apparently not. The decision was 'deferred'.

When I called V12 I just hit a brick wall - wouldn't tell me anything, just that it would take 4 or 5 days.

I got a mortgage decision quicker than that.

Just for a bit of background on myself, I'm 60 years old in full time employment with the same employer for 30 years, I'm a home owner with the mortgage fully paid off. I have no outstanding loans or credit card debt.

I just pulled the plug on the purchase and I'll just go elsewhere.
