Wrong Gfx Card
Hello
I recently ordered a PCI-E 6800GT alongside other things.
The package has just this minute turned up, and the outside of the XFX box says "8x AGP"
Im confident i ordered a PCI-E card. I NEED a PCI-E card.
Can anyone tell me if this is just the boxing, or will Scan be able to rectify this?

Quite a few manufacturers use generic packaging - as it saves a lot of printing costs.

I have rang Scan and veriifed this is an AGP card, everything is sorted now. Thanks.

Not happy at all with the outcome of this.
I rang Scan, was told to bring the card, and £8 (as the PCI-E was £8 more) to Scan, and they would swap it there and then.
I dont drive, so a £10 train ticket and 2 hours later i arrive at Scan. I spoke to numerous people before finally talking to someone who had an idea. She told me that whatever i was told on the phone was basically, BS, and they would only refund the card.
Why wasnt i told that on the phone?
So now, im sat here with a PCI-E motherboard, a 3500+ and a hard drive that are useless.
I am really pissed off, and i dont think i will use Scan in the future.

Unlucky, best off sticking to E-buyer, cant go wrong with them!

Doesn't Wildmonkey work at Scan? What's up with this mate?
-
Actually, i saw Wildmonkey having a crafty cigerette outside Scan, was going to ask for some assistance after i came out, but he'd rushed off to get back to work. :p
Doubt he could have done much however, was the manager i talked to. :(
Anyway, taken my order for the PCI-E 6800GT somewhere else, and i just hope this A8N, 3500+ or Hard drive doesnt need an RMA, im impatient. ;)
Don't get me wrong, i dont want to bad mouth Scan, they have served me well for the past few years, but this has really annoyed me, and will take weeks to overcome.
Also, i should order more carefully. :heckle:
