    Problem with X570 Taichi

    Hi Guys,

Got a problem with a board I purchased this weekend.

No matter what I try I cant get into the bios, I just get a black screen with a single dash on it.
Board boots into Windows fine, the flashing tool (F6 works fine), updating the bios was the first thing I tried.

    Other things I have tried

    Single stick of ram

    Different ram

Unplug everything bar the keyboard and monitor, CPU, single stick of ram and VGA

    Asrocks Reboot to UEFI tool

    Clear CMOS

Any ideas? running at 2133MHz ram is less than ideal....

    Ummm.

I'm pretty out of touch tbh. But in order I would try.
    - find bios entrance key and rapidly press while powering on.
    - hold down any key when powering on and hope it throws a benny (fight mode) which bring up options.
    - get windows OC Fandangle supplier prog and see if you can change on the fly in windows.
    - disconnect boot drive and see if it wants to converse although you just get insert boot media message.

My pci-e slot died this morning while my son was using the pc, while fault finding my HDD now sounds like it has a dwarf playing a xylophone in it. I'm now plagued by a boy waving a recorder at me shouting expelearmus.

Just realised this is scancare; sorry for posting here if inappropriate.

Sounds to me like the motherboard BIOS doesn't like the video card. Given you can't try a different MB BIOS, do you have a spare video card?

I wonder if the BIOS screen is on one of your other video outputs on the video card, leaving you staring at an empty text screen on the one that is actually connected. That would be a bizarre firmware bug but would fit.
