Ridiculous Throttling on RTX 3080

I received my RTX 3080 just before Christmas and after playing on it for a couple of weeks I've noticed some quite frankly absolutely bizarre throttling

as soon as the temperatures get any where near 55°C the thermal throttling starts. Topping out at 64°C where it draws only 48% TDP

This kind of throttling at such low temperatures is criminal. A flag ship product should not be suffering from such awful performance limits 64°C isn't even that hot!!

Honestly this type of thing is utter bs.

GPU Z not showing VRM or VRAM thermals? There could be a potential problem there.

Also what are your full system specs?

Some people believe there to be issued with the vrm thermal pads on the FE cards. There are fixes avaialable on google/youtube
