Problem with motherboard bought from scan

i bought an Asus A8N-SLi premium about 3 weeks ago, its been hunky dorey until about 20 minutes ago, when the pc shut off, and i cant get it to even the bios screen., dont even get to the error message.

My question with regards to RMA, i had taken the bracket off to fit my cooler (came with its own backplate) and i cant find it now for returning, would this cause a problem with regards to RMA?

whats the usual turnaround time on a motherboard usually?

Cheers Philipp, ive actually done the RMA already online, but put a message in saying that the bracket was missing, im going down to a local shop to pick up a cheapo NF4 till it returns, my daughters PC is horrendously noisy
