    Just been reading about this on the SlimDevices web site, and read the review they link to...I had no idea this kind of stuff was about.

    I REALLY WANT ONE.

    My CD player broke a while ago, so its been a bit desperate. Had to play CDs through the DVD player which is not ideal. This would solve all my problems (CDs are ripped to MP3 on my PC upstairs)....

    yeah 299 usd. you could order one from there but by the time youve paid shipping, vat, customs, courier handling fee then you wont be far off the uk rrp which i believe is £229

    But you forget the purchase 2 have a hundred dollar discount (until December 1st) on the slimdevices website. That makes them about £180 each from the calculations I did via my dhl import account.

    Sadly not. I used my import account as it allows me to see what duty and vat would be applied (its 3% duty and 17.5% vat by the way) .

    Of course exchange rates are a factor here so £205 without risk is a good deal.
