Xbox 360 Availability on Scan?

Any idea what a rough estimate for delivery of an XBox 360 (Full) would be if I ordered one today?

I (now) realise that I should have ordered one back in September as the pre-order queues are massive. Is there any chance of divulging a) how many consoles Scan are expecting, and b) how many people have ordered them so far?

No-one seems willing to even guess when they might be available

There are none left for the launch day But our supplier has told me that Hopefully we should receive a batch of XBOX360's just after launch date around 5th/6th Dec with ANOTHER shipment arriving about 1 week later in-between 13th/15th,

They cant give any answers on the amount that we be shipping until there stock arrives fingers crossed im hoping for about 10 to 20 units on each shipment,

but we have already (-)14 back orders for the 5th/6th shipment and thats growing fast.

As for the games and add-on's (cables+others) we will have plenty for launch day

Grand, thanks for the information - most suppliers have been entirely unhelpful in this respect!

So, 14 back-orders for 5th/6th, 10-20 arriving on 5th/6th and 13th/15th implies 20-40 consoles before Christmas which, according to my maths, is good odds

Have now placed my order and been told:

"Your estimated despatch date is 22 November 2005"



In summary then, Pre-Christmas delivery is possible, pre-new-year is likely?

Dam I dunno if I should take the plunge, is it easy to cancel the order of I find it in stock elsewhere? Or will my card get charged before?

You can cancel your order at anytime before its Boxed for dispatch.

BUT your payment is taken in full on place of order

I've ordered Project Gotham 3 with the system - I was a big fan of number one but never owned an XBox so only played it at friends' houses...

May well get Perfect Dark and Dead or Alive at some point soon although I'm not 100% sure. To be fair, I never got round to playing Halo/Halo 2 so I may buy those second-hand and play in hi-res on the 360!

Great once its launched i think we should start a thread in the gaming forum to list the hexus users - Xboxlive tag names so we can challenge each other

the best games i think will be

COD II ( but just the same as PC version) but this game is rocks and sounds amazing when you crank up the sound
Project Gotham3
Quake4 (same as PC version) its great fun and has huge xbox live potential

Also thinking about

Perfect Dark ( should be pretty good)
Need for speed ( maybe a bit more fun than Gotham as its arcade style racing fun)
maybe just maybe Kameo but hmm its had very mixed reviews
