Could someone from Scan please advise

I was wondering if someone could give me some help as I am very confused!

My original order was for a DVD player, some RAM and an Opteron 146, and came to approx £349. I was then advised that the Opteron was out of stock, and would be removed from my order. By my calculations this would bring the order down by £109 to £240. However, I then got an email saying that I would be refunded £80ish by cheque, although all I had paid was the £49 as I had decided to pay by Scan finance. I then got my finance agreement through the post which still showed the full amount of £349.

I am very very confused!! Can someone look into this and get back to me? I have emailed the customer services department but nobody has replied.

Also, the order isn't showing up on the previous orders section of my account.

If its a finance order, then the amount cannot be altered without having to scrap and replace the agreement with the new amount. The total price without the agreement wouldnt qualify for finance as the minimum finance total is £300.

So, the cheque refund would be based on the total finance amount, leaving the total intact.

Sorry, still not getting it. So I will still pay the £300 on finance. And I have already paid the £49 deposit. So I will pay £349. My order actually comes to £240 plus the £85 refund comes to £325. So I will pay £25 extra?

If your agreement was for 349 pounds, then the finance agreement will still be for the same amount. But you'll get 240 quids worth of goods + a cheque.

(I don't know the exact amounts without looking into it during work hours)

Ok cheers David. It makes sense what you are saying, it's just I can't get my figures to add up. But as the invoice doesn't show up in 'My Account' I can't get any actual figures to work with!!
