Yes, you can take that off. Just make a note of the SCIL or stick it to the packaging when you've removed it.

    Best Regards,

Bundled advertising, we might as well get used to it, all the hoooge multi-mega international evil empire corps do it, scan and other retailers might as well do it too. I'm for it, so long as Scan are making a profit and keeping good prices and good customer service they're happy and we're happy, and thats good.

Could be worse, they could be ringing us - the number of sales calls I get at work is ludicrous.

Yesterday I just laid the handset to one side and let some woman ramble on for about 15 minutes until she wanted a reply and put the phone down when she didn't get one. She was talking really fast so God knows how long the script was

    Si

Well, for a start, theres the Telephone Preference service if those calls actually annoy you.

But much more importantly, look at it as an opertunity to be as crazy and un-normal as possible to a person on a phone who can't hang up without saying their doo-dah and can't be rude to you. Very good opertunity.

For instance, I had a very intresting conversation with a middle management person one time, after demanding to each and every peon I spoke to that they get me their manager untill this one told me hers was flying to the states at the moment so she'd have to do. Some scary middle management person in London, then we talked about BLT versus smoked salmon..she humoured me for about 5 minutes, but it was most fun, and she did say I could call back any time. I also often say "I have no windows or doors, I'm in solitary right now" to windows and doors people, thats great for shuttin' em up. So seriously, have fun with 'em!

Yes - I did that - and as some will testify, quite well indeed... until I recieved a number of pretty annoying anonymous calls at all hours...

Now its back to a nice polite, "Very sorry - but try again in a few months..."
