Question XFX vs ScanFX What's the difference

I've been looking into nVidia 7800GT cards and I was wondering what the difference is between

    256MB XFX PCI-E *Extreme* GF7800GT *450 Core 1.05Ghz Mem* (256bit) ViVo 2xDVI £244.39 (£230.89 on TodayOnly)

    and Scan's OEM equivalent

    256MB ScanFX PCI-E *Extreme Edition* GF7800GT *450 Core 1.05Ghz Mem* (256bit) ViVo 2xDVI £233.11 (£220.89 on TodayOnly)

From what I can tell the extra £10 gets me a colourful box and a selection of games ( Call of Duty II, X2, MotoGP2 ).

Is Scan's plan that people who want a second card for SLi will buy theirs rather than get two copies of the games ?

ScanFX are unbranded OEM cards from assorted manufacturers. Being OEM it will come without software or odd freebies. It also comes with a standard 1 year warranty - where retail products may have a longer warranty.

That makes the branded version look a much better buy to me. £10 gets me 3 games, a 2 year warranty and colourful box

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

The card is a unbranded oem card, not a Foxconn.

Does not matter, as long as 2 cards have the same cores they will work in SLI

I'll tell you this for free
They're a fantastic card. I've had two in SLi today...They rock!! Got the 512 dual slot cooler on them also. Quiet as owt.
