No, when they were first shown on slashdot the word was they'd cost no more then a semi-decent mobile phone. I imagine £120 would be the max they could really sell them for, much more and no-one going to buy them. Myself, I'm hoping for a sub-£100 price mark, I'd love one

If i remember correctly Raptor have a extremely dull looking keyboard retail for 88, so i guess this one will well be over the 100 mark.
Primary kit:
Fuji S5 Pro - Nikkor AF 50/1.8 - Nikkor AF 85/1.8
Epson RD-1

Film Kit:
Leica M3 - Summicron 50/2 DR - Zeiss ZM 25/2.8 - M-Rokkor 40/2

Olympus OM2n - Zuiko 50/2 Macro - Zuiko 50/1.4 - Zuiko 35/2.8

Ah the word according to slashdot.
They havent been "shown" anywhere never mind slashdot , the renderings of designs have been all over the net and sometimes people didn't realise thats all they were . I would be surprised if the designers even knew back then how much they would cost. It was all the interest after seeing the renders that spurred them into seriously looking into production.

The designers actually say it will cost "It will cost less than a good mobile phone". Now the definition of "good" is wooly to say the least combined with the way mobiles are usually paid for but much would around 120 small OLEDs cost aswell as presumably non trivial wiring and driver circuitry. Thats what makes me think this keyboard will not be cheap.

I am not sure that costing £200-£300 would be a problem when there seems to be a decent market for graphics cards in that price range, in fact this keyboard will likely attract the exact same kind of buyers and could be *the* thing to have. I like the idea of keysavers.

It does look cool, doesn't it

Although I'd love one of them, I'll probably get the Logitech G15 or one of its relations as I suspect it would be less in cost.

Hi.

Yeah seen these a while back, i did enquire about these, but like dave said the are just concepts atm, and they were quite expensive at around £150+, but im sure if they did become avalible then we would get them in, and i do agree they look sweet as...

sorry specofdust not a chance these will be sub £100 mate, but we can live in hope i suppose ... they will eventually drop when more people start doing them,

Regards

yeah these keyboards do look sweet, i like the fact that you can have different game overlays, with colour/game schemes on the keys.
