    Live Stock Notification System.

How about some form of live stock report,? Where by, you e-mail the customer as soon as the item they specified comes back in stock? I'm not aware of any such system currently offered by scan, but I think if you did it would be a great little feature for customers. It may also encourage people to wait that little bit longer, rather than buying somwhere else instead?

It would be possible, but it would be a really annoying to code. Its easier for them to just suggest that the user asks them here when its coming back into stock.

OR if they add a "estimated" (because we all know suppliers cant do JIT properly) stock due date on the product page. Though this could get quite annoying to update the product info manually, i'm sure they could automate the process when their purchasing/aquisition teams enter the delivery due date into the system.

Just my 2 pence Though it would be good if a mod created a thread for suggestions to improve the Scan experience. Maybe get one of the webteam on the forum aswell (unless they out source)

I disagree; the code has already been written and implemented by other companies successfully. It's a useful feature for me that’s for sure, from a dealer’s perspective and as a domestic customer. The suggestion that some people may be encouraged to wait, re-assured in the knowledge they will be notified as soon as the product is back in stock and ready to order, rather than continuing the search and purchasing the item else-where is surely a good thing? Anyhow, no sweat, I'm enjoying this space provided by hexus to suggest things such as this. Thanks for your comments TiMeZeRo and Gorgeous, I appreciate them .

I can't agree more, this is one of my only few, but really really annoying features that Scan lacks.

It would be possible, but it would be a really annoying to code.
Maybe, but the majority of other large webstores have them, and to stay competitive I believe Scan need to implement a similar system. Putting this into context, myself and my employer both use other retailers if something is important, even if Scan shows it as being in stock, from past experience it has put me off.

The other issue with the business account (can't see any previous order invoices online) is being worked on apparently, can't wait to get that..

But still, Scan provides possibly the best customer service of anyone I've used!
