Going from a ASUS A8N SLI DELUXE to a PREMIUM= REINSTALL? ( NEED QUICK REPLY)

Will I need to re-install drivers or reformat my computer if I do this?

    I need a quick reply.

I would recommend at least booting in safemode, removing the drivers and then rebooting and reinstalling just to be on the safe-side. They are virtually identical but there might be a small underlying difference which is not to easy to spot.

Thank you for the quick reply. Are these chipset drivers? Or just all drivers in general?

Sorry I should have been a little clearer, the chipset/Motherboard drivers.

It is hard to guess what would happen as I've never gone from 1 motherboard to another based on the same chipset before and some of the technical lads sat behind me were humming about this too when I asked them

Thank you for the quick reply Lee.

I went for the ASUS SLI DELUXE with ZALMAN COOLER at the end, i was confused as I did not have free shipping, but it worked out the same price as a PREMIUM.

Do i get free shipping on ALL my orders?

    Thanks.

Yes free carriage should apply to all orders providing the accounts linked to the hexus database via the guides floating about on here.

I recently went 925X to 925X chipset (Albatron to DFI motherboards) (after completely destroying a socket 775, its true what people say, they are really delicate sockets) and I had no problems at all with the swap, I just removed the existing drivers, installed the new and away I went, didn't even think to do it in safe mode either, but thats cos im stupid

    matt.
Please do not message me about Scan Free shipping, I no longer work for HEXUS.net

I've switched from an A8N-SLI Deluxe to an A8N32-SLI Deluxe...I booted straight into windows and all the necessary drivers were installed without any input from me, even though it's meant to be a different chipset.
The chipset's are the same on the two motherboards you're mentioning, so I imagine you should be fine. No reinstall should be needed.
