    Dell 2005FPW Issue!

I have had this since just before Xmas from Scan and i have now come across a common problem on the dell website... I have a burnt in image!

It wont move! Its been there for 3 days! What can I do... if i send it to dell they will replace it but what if it happens again...

Even if i could i couldnt send it back to scan it would cost A LOT of money to send a 24" monitor back...

    Any help?

    Hi,

If it's a burnt on image, then there isnt a great deal we can do tbh, you can try DELL and see what they say.

If it's a Dell Warranty job then Dell do a next day swap out on the monitor and you don't pay a penny to ship it...

All you need to do is call them, give them the serial off the back of the monitor, explained what has happened and ask for a replacement.

Let us know how you get on Telefrag. I'd like to know if Dell are honouring warranties when the monitors haven't been purchased from them direct as I have heard different.

Don't know where you heard that, its complete rubbish. Dell even let you transfer a warranty over on a product bought in the USA!

    Hmm

We would be interested in that also, as the DELL monitors we sell are a direct warranty with them from Day 1.

ROFL Guys you wont believe what i got.

The woman answered and said can i have your Service Tag please... I dont have one its a monitor. Then she said can I have your Dell order number please... I dont have one i got it from Scan.. She said well you need to get it exchanged from them - Im sorry. So i explained what happened and she said yes we know of the issue but you will have to call the Store to get it exchanged or get the Dell order number from them.

    Any help Scan please!!

    Hi

I find that hard to believe tbh, not your story, but what she is telling you, i checked this as soon as we got stock in months ago, and was told by various people that the warranty was with DELL from day 1

You should have a service Tag number on the back on the Monitor ... ? you would need this to deal with warranty issues with DELL, and your monitor should have one ..

    Regards
