Sony DVD+RW problem

I have been successfully using the Sony DWQ30 Black 16x DVD±RW Dual Layer DVD Writer OEM I purchased from Scan to read dvds and CDs. However I have just tried to record a CD using windows explorer. No drive light came on during the process, and at the end windows reported an error with the process. The disc didn't even look touched.

I tried using the free CDBurnerXP pro as well, but the same result occured.

I'm using windows XP SP2 OEM (as bought from SCAN).

Any ideas?

The best thing to do if you have not already logged this with the support team is to do so at the following link ;

Once they get to this they will then choose the best course of action.

Thanks.. created a report, then a few minutes later found the problem..

I already thought I'd removed it once, but it seems to be back on my system. Removed it again and suddenly the burner is working.
