Smile Fx 60 + quad sli barebones question?

    Hi

looking to purchase one of your lovely panther qiuad SLI barebones and i want to put an fx-60 cpu in there ive seen that your selling the coolermaster aquagate 120 would that be able to cool the fx-60 effectively and would it fit in the asaka case that comes with the barebones?

also looking at the follwoing memory would this work ok with the asus motherboard?

    2GB (2X1GB) Corsair TwinX XPERT LED, DDR PC3200 (400), 184 Pin, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 2-3-3-6

finally i take it these cards get pretty hot so is there anything you can recommend for keeping these babies cool?

    Thanks

According to the specifications of that cooler it supports the Intel Pentium D series of processors. These are known to run hotter than the FX60 series so it should be fine.

As for the cards, I'm afraid the cooling system is different the normal cooling nvidia and the card manufacturers use due to the 2 GPU cores and 1 Gb ram per card, and as such we cannot say for certain at the present time if any aftermarket coolers would fit the card correctly.

As for the memory - that would be fine, I personally have 4 x 512 Mb of the xpert and it functions on my asus board without any issues

    Best Regards,

I would recommend using 2 x LN9036 120mm Akasa Amber Case Fan, 3 Pin, 2 Ball Bearing , Ultra Quiet and Long life fans, which would provide good cooling and would also be very quiet.

You would be ok with this as this is how we build the mighty Panther systems.

Sorry about this, ive just realised that as we assemble the kit prior to despatch we would be unable to deliver for tomorrow. If the order is ready for despatch tomorrow we would be able to upgrade to Saturday Pre 12am delivery, which is around £ 25.00 + Vat. The next standard delivery date would be Tuesday 2nd May.

Upgraded the carriage for you mate @ £ 25.00 + Vat. We will also be able to fit you CPU and Memory , however the Aquagate etc would have to be fitted by yourself - Hope this is ok?

Ill keep track of the order and make sure this ships tomorrow for Sat delivery.

    Hi Chris

i just realised that the aquagate requires a retnetion plate to be fitted to the back of the motherboard.

so if you did fit it all together for me im going to have to take it all apart again to fit that on.

sorry about this is there any way that they could fit this for me?

if not can you send the unit in parts and ill put it all together myself when it gets here?

    Thanks

I think maybe the best option would be to fit the Aquagate for you as The Panther bundle would really need to be pre assembled by ourselves to avoid compatibility issues, however just a warning due to the extra work we may not be able to ship the bundle for Saturday delivery.

I will speak to the system build dept for you tomorrow morning and confirm if we can do this in time for Sat delivery and if this would incur any extra build charges.
