Need help with buying Asus laptop!

    Helloooooooo wonderful people!

OK I just posted a thread on this forum about wanting a gaming laptop for £750, low and behold, I check scan and see this.

Now I don't have a clue about this sort of thing So would this laptop be able to run BF2 on medium settings or whatever? Or just run it well?

Also, I keep hearing about intel's core duos > is the proccessor supplied ok and everything, will i be able to run vista on it next year?

Lastly! Anyone know about the build quality on this thing? And is it built by scan on a barebones?

Sorry for the questions...and thanks in advance!

what do u want a lappy for exactly? I went the lappy route when i went to uni and completely changed my mind after a year, I am back on a desktop again now. Lappys are just so annoying, especially the slow HDD speeds.
Instead of the lappy I got a shuttle and a nice TFT, certainly no more expensive and a more comfortable setup
And shuttles are so portable, i love mine , and well im not gonna say I will be carrying by 19" TFT under my arm everywhere but its no 19" CRT and is easily transported in its well designed sony box

EDIT: to be more on topic, I dont think the term 'gaming laptop' is really ever true. they just dont like it!

Aye, I've gotta go for a laptop as it needs to be moved around, about 2 times a week.

I mean, I'd happily go for a desktop if it was an option as I'm sure £750 would go heck of a long more way!

It'd have to be two desktops for £750! and a portable HD!

Actually, the lastest ones are pretty good
They can really give the Pentium M's a run for their money.

Well all I can say is if u are definitely getting a high spec *high heat* producing laptop , try and see it in action before you buy it and dont get one like mine that sounds like an aircraft after 10mins usage because of the ridiculously loud fans in the base
