    Stupid question about Synology DS-101G

How exactly would one host their own website from their own server? Assuming I bought this, how incredibly complicated to run my website from this server at my house?

Apologies for the rediculous question, just wondering if it's something that be be learned (any websites about it etc?) or if I have no hope.

    Many thanks

    Ash

I can't find a manual, but I'd imagine that it would work along a similar principle to any other webserver - you upload your files to a location on the the diskstation (htdocs folder?) and it's then available if people browse to the ip of the diskstation. If you only have one ip address you'd need to setup port forwarding (port 80 for http) to the LAN ip address of your diskstation. Not sure about the DS101G, but the DS101G+ either already does or soon will support PHP/SQL too.
