when i ordered the items on saturday, all were in stock, i was expecting the parts tuesday/wednesday,

Ok here is my story (sorry to hijack the thread but i didnt want to create a new thread when its on the same sort of topic).
I made an order, around £80, added some pens to write on cds.
I was expecting the order today. I didnt get a call or anything, just an email after 7pm to say that my order has been delayed, and that the item wont be coming into stock until the 7th (whilst I am on holiday).
I cannot understand why this has to be the case, that they expect everything to be alright if they send an email right at the end of the day. Surely if there is a stock shortage of the item, any customer would find it better to be informed when the shortage is noticed so the order doesn't necessarily have to be delayed. Especially for an item that costs £1, that delays the whole order.
Scan are a good company, great customer service and the likes, but this email annoys me! It has happened 3 times now! They send it right at the end of the day, after everything has closed, so you cannot contact them till the next day.
It really does annoy me! How come they cannot have the common sense to say, oh look here is a small item that is out of stock that is delaying the whole order of all this other computer equipment etc.
The most annoying thing about it this time is that I am in tomorrow, but on wednesday i was planning to go out with my girlfriend as she has the day off work :s
Please scan sort it out. I have had to re-order the stuff without the pens, and I will give them a call first thing tomorrow! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

no probs for the hijack, i understand,
the problem for me is that, i really needed the parts this week, as i said in my first post.
i don't know why the item that has made the order delayed was not shown as out of stock when i ordered, i expect the payment authorisation is an automatic process so nothing can be done
i prefer to get my parts from Scan now as i have had good service every time i have bought something,
i have to make my excuses now as i do not have a complete machine to pass on
the thing that gets me is, i do not receive an e-mail to tell me that the order is delayed until 7.51pm tonight
Same for me as well, ordered Sat afternoon but only get the email @ 19:51
you have the cpu in stock now,
i was told by a nice lady on the phone today that the cpu would be in stock tomorrow and the whole order would get to me Thursday latest?
what's going on?
