    Big up to Scan

I recently ordered a number of items from Scan - a new HDD, some RAM, a SqueezeBox3.

I just wanted to say how pleased I was with the experience - ordering was easy, I was kept informed of each stage of the ordering process, the stuff arrived before i could blink (well, almost). Also, everything was packed and wrapped very well, and arrived in good condition.

I was also dead chuffed to see, by chance, SqueezeBox3's being on TodayOnly, £25 off the normal price! I couldn't pass that up.

And, on top of that, being a Hexus forumite, I benefitted from free delivery, which for me, was an additional incentive to buy from Scan.

    So really I'm saying :

    1. Good job on the ordering and delivery process, Scan, keep it up. I'll be building a new PC in a few months, and you'll be the first place I visit for parts..

    2. Thanks for your support of the Hexus forum through active participation in the forum, and giving us forumites free delivery - I, for one, really appreciate it.

    Mut.

Ah yes, this is often a debate on the slimdevices forum (as you've probably seen). Personally I'm happy with it just doing audio.
I've been intending to buy an SB3 since before Christmas, in the mean time I've been sorting out my music collection, and playing with slimserver and its various pluings (including the integration with MusicMagic, now called MIP which is pretty cool), using SoftSqueeze as a stand in for the SB3!

    More to add...

I have long held the believe that a good retailer is not determined so much by how well they sell goods (and how good the experience is for the customer), but by how well they manage the inevitable problems that occur.

Any business that fails to recognise that things WILL go wrong and plan for that, understanding how to interact with the customer in such cases, WILL lose customers.

I had to return an item I ordered, and I just want to say that this was handled very well by Scan. Scan gave me real confidence that my concerns were their concerns, and they were work as quickly as possible to resolve the problem, which in this case was to replace the item.

Good work, Scan. When a customer has confidence in a business to know that they will handle and take ownership of problems, they stay a customer.

    Mut.
