    X2 - Heatpipe Cooler included?

    Looking specifically at the 3800+ http://www.scan.co.uk/products/produ...oductID=448122 and the 4200+ http://www.scan.co.uk/products/produ...oductID=448123 ... do either CPUs come with the heatpipe cooler?

    I'm guessing not...and the 4200+ that I bought 8 months or so from Scan did not, but just wanted to check, before I put some money down

    It's generally the FX series that come with the heatpipe cooler as these have a higher wattage rating.

    I'm not sure I can quite justify an FX-60 for my parents' PC, so looks like I'll be ordering an Arctic Cooling 64 with the X2

    Fixed it and ordered a new flux capacitor for the deloran

    It's still showing as "Clock Speed: 2200 GHz" in Tech Specs, but at least it's out of the Item Description now..tis the main thing.

    My 4600+ came with the newer heatpipe cooler, but of course thats a higher clockspeed. I was under the impression that all the newest X2's came with that cooler, but I'm not sure.

    nop, built a 4200+ rig not too long ago.. came with a bog standard aluminium sink..

    but my new 4600+ does come with the heatpipe cooler..

    I guess the 4600+ is the new top end 939 chip (except the FX of course), hence the cooler.

    Well you can have my heatpipe cooler for free end of next week if you like, just as soon as thecoolingshop get their ass in gear.
