Thecus YES nano N1050 Help Please

Just recently purchased 2 yes nano and a hard disk.

Problem is that it is not recognised on any of my systems at all. I have tried it on two diferent computers( Win XP) and it has not been recognised either as a usb devise or external Hard drive.

I cant format what is not recognised by my computers.I have checked in Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management to see if the drive is there, and it is not. The disk is a brand new WD 80gb scorpio.

Anybody got any ideas, or should i just rma it back to scan. Your help is much appriciated.

Possibly not enough power for the drive from the USB port perhaps?

Have you tried the external power supply?

If this doesnt work I suspect you may have a configuration problem with your PC or the thecus is indeed faulty
