Why is your despatch estimate so poor?

Ok last time I posted here was because my items were in stock when I ordered, went through checkout, agreed with the estimated despatch date - and lo and behold at 20:30 that evening I get the inevitable "order delayed email".

Thought I'd give you another go - picked a couple of in-stock items (from Today Only), and got a despatch date - surprise, surprise tonight I get a "order delayed".

I read post after post after post in this forum complaining about the same thing - why is it so hard to give us an honest despatch date? There's really nothing quite so annoying.

So they can't adjust the despatch date accordingly then? My last three orders have all been "in stock", and all delayed after 20:00 the evening of despatch. I'd just rather have an honest despatch date up-front - gives me a proper chance to order elsewhere.

The estimate despatch dates are based on volume of orders and the time the order has been placed. The majority of orders do ship out on time with the estimated date provided. Due to the reasons already posted in this forum a small amount of orders are unfortunately being delayed due to a higher than expected volume of orders at this time of the year and coinciding with the massive warehouse reconstruction we are going through at the moment.

We are open and honest about this and confirm the delay via e-mail, which can be up to 8pm as this is when orders are processed up to.

    I'll say it again:-

    "1 step back" , "2 steps forward"

    Sorry for any inconvenience caused

    Regards
