    Abit AN8 32x post error F.5

    Hi

I have just bought an Abit AN8 32x mobo from Scan.
I have transferred my CPU, VGA card, RAM and HDD from my old pc into the case and plugged the PC into the power. I flick the power switch on the back of the PSU and immediately get an error on the post display.

It reads 1 for a second then F.5 I can't power on the machne any further.

I have tried a bare bones installation, but still the same F.5 code.

I have even powered up with absolutely nothing plugged into the board - same error code.

This error code isn't listed in the manual and I can't find any reference to it on the web.

Has anyone got an idea what could casuse this?
I have also posted in the Abit forume to see if they can help.

    Thanks

    Hi

Just the display. F.5 isn't listed in the manual. Only F.1, F.2, F.3.

    Cheers

    Hi

I have done as suggested. Scan Ref:OLQ410567
I had a reply from Abit and they sugest an RMA back to Scan.

Would this be the best course of action?

    Thanks
