    Scythe INFINTY

Hi , just been reading reviews on the internet on the Scythe INFINTY with its amazing cooling for the cpu.

After review i wanted to see if i could purchase one of these and the only place i found where you could buy it is in the US.

However when you check on Scythe's website they point you towards a few of UK suppliers of Scythe products and scan is one of them.

This said you then start to look for it on the website but its not there.

When are we customers going to see the Infinty at scan for us to purchase?

Also when will we start to see 590sli intel boards?

Thankyou for whoever has read this post and have a nice day, take care.

Now that my Ninja has been relegated to keeping my Allendale at room temperature, I'm looking for something to cool my X2 again

Sorry man , I have had the E6600 for three weeks now ,time has taken its toll, I am getting silly and impatient.

Saw the P5N32-SLi with the 590 Chipset and was happy that the wait is slowly but surely coming to an end.I have got all the other parts ,like Xfi Elite pro with console , a 7950 XXX , 2gb Supertalant modules(fast modules DDR1000), Tagan 900watt , Xcio case A380 (excellent case, better than thermaltake Kandalf i had before this).

As you can see all the parts are above average and nearly all are bought from Scan , but that said Scan is always my first choice, Now if i can just sort the mobo and HSF out , iwill be very happy indeed.

Jumped for joy when I saw this link , need it bad. Please SCAN , sort this and the infinity out as soon as you can, I can promise you they both will go like hot cakes.

    Have a nice day

Personally I think it looks just like a modded Ninja - slightly different fin profile and less heatpipes. Obviously I'm missing something - what is it?

Agree with you , very like the ninja with fins all the way to the top ,also about 30-40% more surface area and slightly less heatpipes. Weighs in at a nearly kilo. Performs better than any heatsink upto date.

Also bought COOLABOROTORY LIQUID , now this stuff is amazing and quite expensive. Its the best thermal compound , where leading thermal pastes are rated at 5 wk/k the coolabortory pro is rated at about 80 wm/k. Its like Mercury the quality of it I mean but its not poisonous like merrcury .

Very hard to spread , I thought its worth it cos its worth the difference it makes.

Does anybody know if I am allowed to put pics of the scythe Infinity?

Careful with that thermal compound - there was one available a while back that was indeed Mercury-based. Not a problem if you use a copper heatsink, but mercury eats through Aluminium

Yeah most IHS, are aluminium so be careful. Unless the compound is neutralised in some way. Never even heard of it, so I dont know.

yep your right, hopefully its all good cos the hsink is copper and the base of the cpu is copper with aluminium , done research on that.
