    Gigabyte GA 965P-DS3

    Hi Dose this motherboard on the Scan Site Gigabyte GA 965P-DS3 iP965 support the new Intel Core 2 Duo chips as the description on the Scan site said no but this seems to be the board that everyone is recommending. Sorry cant post a direct link as I don’t have more than five posts.

    Yep, I've just built a Core 2 Duo one. You may want to flash the bios, mine came with version 2 but it's up to version 3 at Gigabyte.

    It's a nice board in my view.

    Yes it should.

    The ticks etc have not been updated as yet due to many of the motherboards requiring in some cases a BIOS update for the conroes's to function correctly.

    DS3 should ship with F2 BIOS, which supports conroe out of the box

    I'd recommend a BIOS update from the gigatripe website, as they've fixed alot of issues
