Secondly please check the following link as this shows all the motherboards which have been tested and this also shows which ones require a certain BIOS for the cards to function correctly.

    The link is ; http://www.nvidia.com/content/geforce_gx2_sbios/us.asp

    Best Regards,

Just be aware that this is a 7900GX2, the original on which the 7950 was based. There are already a couple of threads about this on the forums. Look here for more info.

Read the thread I linked, it's all explained there. Yes, it's a good deal as the x16 SLI 7900GX2 is probably marginally superior to the x8 7950GX2.

I understand what you are saying but i see no 7900GX2 on scan website at all i can see is the 7950X2, and in the mix it deal says the following,

This IS the most incredible deal for Gamers and Power Users EVER Period! Super-Exclusive to SCAN. Here is the VGA card that has won us countless awards - the card that made the fastest quad SLi system - The 1Gb XFX 7950GX2.

Not only is it the BEST 1GB 7950GX2 price in the World Exclusively to SCAN - Our Friends XCLIO wanted to get into the limelight too..

So...for £269.00 (ex VAT) - We're Throwing in Absolutely FREE courtesy of XCLIO, and to match the card and the rest of your system a Hi Spec 750W PSU worth £93.94 - Just check the specs - This whole Offer is Completely Unbelievable!

Has you can see it is an xfx 7950X2 and not a 7900X2.

If you read then linked thread you would realise the scan 7950/psu offer is actually the 7900gx2 however with the latest nvidia drivers the 7900gx2 is recognised as a 7950 which is why scan are advertised as such. however the card in the scan offer is the 7900gx2 which is ALOT longer than the 7950 (the card scan have on offer is 12" long so you might want to check your case can fit it) and doesnt has HDCP encryption that the 7950 has.

    Just so you know...

    That is a big case
i love my stacker and i'm not going to change for a gfx card so i.m stuck with either crossfire or a 7950GX2 i need to decide as i need to get this conroe up and running by weekend.

Goodluck trying get it in the p180 my mate as a p180 and we only just about got an ATI x1900xtx in there.
