cant find IDE 2 port PCI controller card. Can somebody please help.

I'm planning to buy a Core 2 Duo cpu and motherboard.

But i have 2 ide hard drives and 2 dvd players and these boards have a lack of ide support.

So i need an IDE 2 Port PCI Controller Card which can host upto 4 IDE ATA133 Devices.

Cant seem to find one on the Scan site. If Scan does sell them could somebody please point me to the page or preferably a direct link to the item.

Hi,

Usually motherboards have 2 IDE slots on them. You can plug an IDE cable into each of them which both have 2 plugs on them.

i believe this is what your looking for (http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...roductID=17435) which would let you attach 2 device's and you could connect the other 2 devices to the motherboard ide controller for motherboards with single ide connection, or there is this one : (http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...roductID=17433) which will allow 4 devices to be connected.

Thanks for the help. Yes thats what i was looking for. Missed these as i'd never heard of the term Disk Accelerator before.
