s775 motherboards that are compatible with core2...?

Scan seem to have split the s775 motherboards based on which chipset they have? Perhaps it would be easier to separate them by which cpu range they support as I know there are a few non 965/975 chipset boards that accept conroe cpus. It just makes it very tricky to weed out the boards available for selection for a specific cpu.

Even just putting core2 or conroe in the appropriate product descriptions to make it a searcheable term would help loads! I image this might be useful for separating out those boards that support dual-core too?

...or am I missing some secret way of viewing all the available core2-compatible boards?

Yeap your missing the new advanced search facility that's available on the website which can be found HERE

Tick the box for "core 2 duo" support and all the boards with core 2 duo support should then be filtered

    Best Regards,

    ah okay...got it

Still a little confused, probably haven't been following the hardware releases closely though, as I selected Core2Duo - yes, and uATX - yes, and it starts the list with three s479 boards... core2duo mobile chips no doubt.

    That is correct.

If you require socket 775 then you'll need to expand the search criteria to include that as well

Just want to say thanks to you guys for the Advanced search - it really helps - no need to google every part to see if it supports this or that That extra bit of CS goes a long way

You can add an extra filter for the socket aswell so u get just 775 boards:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...By=Description

On Core2Duos, I ordered a couple of Asus mobos, but had to get Scan check that they were the revision 2.0 of the boards, which they did, and all was good

    (ASUS P5LD2 range)

It is very good, only problem i found was that a board i eventually bought was listed as an ATX rather than uATX so the search didn't find it at first
