Looks like a good monitor but the lack of DVI isn't worth it compared to the Daewoo.

Blast from the past I know but having used the monitor for abit now I can safely say I like it. Very nice to use, and playing EVE Online is a treat on it.

And I still want it! I rang up to purchase it on thurs 7th but delivery wouldnt have been until monday (today) and I am already back in France working

How much longer is it going to be on Today Only - Scan ppl?

Should I buy it now and get it when I go home for New Years? Or do I wait until I go home and check out the new offers that will no doubt be available?

Got the monitor on Tuesday and I'm very impressed. I went for this one because it was very cheap and because it has DVI.

Picture quality is excellent - found it a little bright at first but I changed settings and am getting used to it.

    No dead pixels.

Tempted, was going to pick up one of the Asus 22" monitors, but then got persuaded to look at these 19" Monitors, all looking very tempting but I think I might plump for the Asus 19" over this, not that much more expensive but comes with a better viewing angel that the Daewoo but the Daewoo looks nice and lovely.

    Decisions!

Edit: Decided to go for the Daewoo in the end, and I am ojnt soryr, by the looks of it I don't have any dead/stuck pixels, the cable was a tight fit in the back but this monitor is superb, really am not regretting it, it's an absolute bargain

well i got it as one of my gifts from my parents for xmas, to use as part of a dual monitor setup, and wow! the quality and brightness is brilliant. I have to admit i was sceptical about buying from daewoo as they do not have much of a reputation (good or bad) as far as i know, but the risk was worth it, money was saved and the result was brilliant. I more than recommend this screen, I'm using the DVI output with my x1900xt and it looks great. much better than VGA in my opinion.

I got one of these - it was incredibly cheap at £130 as I got it on a today only.

    No dead pixels either.

The resolution isn't the best tbh and I often have to press auto to get it to show the screen properly.

Don't even bother with this over vga - it looked awful. The colours were atrocious, and no matter how i fiddled I couldn't get it to look nice. Fuzzy too.

But over DVI it is one awesome panel. Yes, blindingly bright (I find it gets ok at 50 to 65 brightness). Contrast is pretty phenomenal for this type of monitor.
BUT - colour fidelity is crap out of the box. And in no way can compete with my Eizo PVA panel. However, it does have RGB custom settings so should be great for those who can calibrate (I haven't had a chance yet).

Very fast refresh rate too - I can scroll text at top speed with my mouse and it is mostly legible.
video doesn't look especially hot on this monitor though but I guess I'm looking to closely.
The dot pitch IS a bit on the high side from what I've been used to in the past.

Also, the resolution means that I'm often maxxing out the fps limits of my games with my C2d and 8800GTS so I should have plenty of power with this monitor to last a couple of years without any upgrades.

What I do hate is the lack of ergonomics - the dvi plug is too close to the stand and it is very squat.
If I could've gone for it, I would've got the HaansG 192W as that has a portrait mode which I currently would love.

on reinstalling XP, whenever I tried to set the resolution above 1280x1024 on this monitor using DVI input, i got the error: out of frequency. I've been using the DVI connection for 4 months already. I dont understand why its not working.

Also, it doesnt come with any drivers, so i cant tell my PC what monitor it is and what settings it accepts.

So i've had to use the VGA input which works fine. But still, a little annoyed at this. Anyone else had this problem?
