    laptop hard drive required

I think my laptop hd has messed up, i'm trying to format it using the windows xp cd but it crashes part way into it.

Am I right in thinking I can get any PATA HD from the following page and it will fit my laptop (Packard Bell easynote e6) or is there anything I need to be aware of?

yeah, should be fine. just make sure that the drive is 9.5mm high when you order it. Some drives can be up to 11 or 12mm and won't fit in a laptop that wasn't designed to take them. The vart majority are 9.5mm though.

EDIT: Also, if you were to go for the 160gig drive it's possible your laptop wouldn't support the 48bit addressing that this would require, so you only see 138gig (or something like that).

Thanks. I'm just after a small HD so the 160gig issue won't apply
