If i sell everything i bought from Scan so far and from friends, add a bit more, then i can afford this processor

    Kudos on the stock level.

They are so not worth it at the moment but the principle of having that much money to blow and seeing it arrive on your doorstep could not be beaten. In a year maybe!

How is it then David? Congrats

And lets not talk about 4x4 yet before there's any sort of proof anywhere!

Simple. Its two dual cores put into one package. That means if they have to communicate over the FSB.

Conroe was good because it had a unified cache.

    Think of it like this
    Code:
    Dual core Memory Dual core
                           |
    Core 0 Core 01 | Core 2 Core 3
    | | | | |
    [4MB cache] | [4MB cache]
     | | |
    --------------------------------------------- <FSB
All those devices on one bus.... oouch. What makes it worse is when cores 0,1 need something from cores 2,3 or vice versa.

Bah, ascii diagram comes out wrong

The CPU is great, but the platform is plugs into is not. If you looing for the best multitaking power for the average joe, it is the best to date. I'm holding off until i see what AMD 4x4 and K8L has to offer
