    ASUS P5B-Deluxe Wi-Fi revision?

Would the Scan guys happen to know whether the ASUS P5B-Deluxe Wi-Fi AP motherboards that are currently in stock feature the C1 or C2 revision of the Intel chipset?

Alternatively, would anyone who has received one of these boards from Scan in the past week or so comment on which version they received (CPU-Z will show this, in the motherboard section)?

    TIA

I understand that it may also be distinguishable by the following markings on the board itself (on the box too maybe?):

    rev 1.03G = C1
    rev 1.04G = C2

Took delivery of one of these from Scan about 3 weeks ago, but am at work not home so can't post info. at this time.

But you've got my curiosity - what's the reason for the question?

    If I have 1.03G/C1, am I going to wish I hadn't asked...??!!!

I'll check and post later unless you get a direct answer from Scan, or are inundated with answers from others who have ordered/received more recently.

    Cheers,

Sorry but there are none of these on the shelf downstairs so I cannot really check this for you I'm afraid.

However - They are due within the next 5 days so I can check for you then once they arrive.

    Best Regards,

O.K. - Had a look, and I can't find any references on the exterior of the packaging for the Motherboard.

However, on the board itself - 1.03G. Probably would have guessed that, as the original BIOS (as far as I recall, before I upgraded to 0804) was the board's original 0302.

But that was a board delivered 3 weeks ago.... I guess that if you get something from new stock, you might be lucky to get 1.04G, if that's what you feel you need.

    HTH.

    Cheers,

    Thanks for that.

    Cheers,
I'm not too fussed really, especially after having read the Anandtech article and had a closer look at the not-greatly-improved o/c performance of the early C2 boards over at XS.org.

Well, no real problem with the system to date - but I'm not overclocking.

I must admit, after reading the article you linked to, I couldn't see a lot of issues - but didn't like to say that in my last post

Whatever you get - hope it lives up to what you want......

    Cheers,
