Asus A8N32SLI - Arrived in brown box..

Hi there,

I've been asked to post by my mum's partner as he's worried that he's received second hand goods. Basically he ordered this for £99 and it came in a brown box with tatty manuals/open cds etc. Now I know this is fussy - but can I ask why? I just want to put his mind at rest that he hasn't received second hand goods

I'm pretty sure he hasn't, but I said I'd enquire about it for him

Think Lee needs some more details. I would contact Sales directly with the relevant order number. Does seem a bit strange that it didnt arrive in the correct packaging.

I have one of these from scan, came in full ASUS box, with a ton of cables and another carbboard layers over the original packaging with advertising garb on it. Which claims the motherboard is "heart touching".

Sounds like you got an OEM version, it'll work just as well.

The Asus motherboard should be a full retail box as we do not stock OEM. This sounds like a Grade B unit has been despatched by mistake.

I have spoken to the Returns Manager and he has informed me the older S939 boards have actually been ordered as OEM, packaged as brown box as this is the only stock available from the supplier.

If you would like to arrange a return please let me know

So this board is NOT B-grade? If that is the case, then that's fair enough. What about the price though?

The board is not B grade just OEM stock. The stock is brand new straight from our supplier.

The pricing is as on the web site as our buy price has not changed

He's a bit disappointed that he didn't get a shiney box but other than that he's happy that it isn't B-grade/second hand. Thanks for your help
