    Out of Stock & Failure To Inform.... Yet Again

    LN8164 - In stock when I ordered last Friday. Still in stock today when I amended my order today by phone. Even assured by the loverly lady that my delivery date (tomorrow) would not be affected.

    8pm this evening, no confirmation emails, start to worry and lo and behold one item is out of stock . So there'll be no delivery tomorrow, that'll be another days holiday wasted then and it looks like my Dad wont be getting his Xmas present on time.

    This is the second time this happened.

    Same here, ordered a mobo last Thursday to find out today myself by accident that its now showing out of stock. Was told by some chap that I had a "1 in 4" chance of getting one tomorrow. Hmm, must be something to do with xmas I suppose. Not good enough. Oh and no emails.

    in all fairness this situation is not unique to Scan, so far I have had problems with an order to dabs as well as curry's, xmas is a bi tch

    Yeah but but Dabs aren't retailer of the year and this happened to me last time I ordered from Scan as well. The problem is their stock inventory system and not pre allocating stock when it is ordered.

    Anyway spoke to Michelle again today who admitted it was her fault and apologised. Item has been replaced with a more expensive mouse but it would have been nice to have been offered it at the same price considering Scan have admitted it was their cockup again.

    I would also point out that I received an automated sms & email this morning to inform me of the problem, 12 hours too late to change my days leave & change the order to something that's in stock (hopefully).
