Problem with newly built computer (with some parts from you)

I recently built a new computer, which works fine apart from one thing. Once or twice a day it crashes and shows me a 'blue screen of death'. The last two have come up with different 'technical information'.
    The first one reads:

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

    driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen , restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software...

If problems continue, disable or remove and newly installed hardware or software...

    Technical information
    *** stop: 0x000000d1 (0x0000001c, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xf7970d19)

    *** firelm01.sys - address f7970d19 base at f7970000, datestamp 425c4fe3

    Beginning dump of physical memory
    Physical memory dump complete

    The second blue screen reads:

    *** STOP: 0x000000D1 (0X00000008, 0X00000002, 0X00000001, 0XF7622D0E)

    *** ohci1394.sys - Address F7622DOE base at F7620000, Datestamp 41107dbd

Do you have any idea what might be the problem?
    Christian.

    2 things I'd suggest checking first, the RAM and the PSU. Ram you can check with Microsofts freebie;
    http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp

Was the PSU new? Do you have another one you can use to test if it's that?
Have you done all the usuals - checking all cards/RAM are seated correctly, hard drive cables are correctly connected/no bent pins etc?

And remember - we are not at work to the 2nd of January... so we will be unable to assist much before then I'm afraid.

(However - BigBry's advice sounds very good to me...)

And if it passes the MS memory test, there's always the original (and argueably still the best):

I downloaded the microsoft memtest and ran it from a cd. It was fine on everything, the first time it went through the process apart from the stride6 test, which it failed on.
However, I let it go though every test for a second time, and it passed the stride6 test.
Does this give anyone any more of an idea what might be wrong?
P.s. It's OCZ RAM. Has anyone else had problems with this brand of memory before?

Invariably yes, someone will have. This is true for all RAM bar none. Unfortunately its the price we have to pay for cheap, high volume production of RAM - some bad stuff will slip through from time to time.

If you have more than one stick of RAM, it might be worthwhile running the test again (I prefer memtest) on one stick at a time to confirm if it is only one that is affected.

PS. Might be worthwhile checking your RAM is at the right timings before you RMA it. Also, are you overclocking it?
