AFAIK.. Scan will only dispatch things on Monday and then it'll be delivered on Tuesday.. I don't know of any retailer dispatching on the weekend (mainly cause couriers don't pick-up then).

Yes, that's correct, if the despatch date is chosen for Tuesday.

If you ring sales - they may be able to get it out a bit sooner - if possible.

What can i say? I'm very impressed. Everything from the way the screen looks and works.

No dead pixles, *touch wood*. You'd never need to use the word ghosting in any conversations other than the few times when ur laughing at ur m8s new LCD. Vibrant colours, not washed out.

Considering this is my first LCD, i dont really have a reference point to compare this screen with. But it has proven me wrong in every field that i though LCD/TFTs were inferior to CRTs. The "SPLENDID" option is fairly useful. The differences are pretty obvious, and for once a screen has a setting which is actually worth using.

Speakers are RUBBISH. Use it for windows sounds thats about it. Headphone plug is useful, but its located at the bottom of the screen. Whats the point of that!?!? As long as u have a bent headphone jack its fine.

It comes with bith DVI and VGA leads and also audio wire.

Hope this is useful. I think its a gd buy atm.

Can anyone tell me a bit more about the warranty for the monitor?

All I can find on the asus website is this:

"ASUS LCD monitor will carry 3 years limited warranty. 1 year ZBD warranty will be provided for specific models."

It just refers to the warranty card in the box, which is annoying if you dont own one yet!!!! Does any one know what their dead pixel policy is??

1 year ZBD warranty is the important bit.there dead pixel warentee is the usual. BUT ZBD is Zero Bright Pixels. this meens no white pixels or any stuck on subpixels as bright pixels are more noticable than dark this meens you will be garenteed zero anoying pixels for 1 year. other dead pixels come under normal regs. i believe about 4 black or 8 dark (ie black sub pixels)

Thw ghosting on mine is excessive to say the least. Escpecially in games when a dark object in in front of a lighter background like this shot from oblivion.

Unfortunatly I dont have a camera to capture the effect but i think its to bad for me to keep this monitor

Please use the warranty contact details on the product to report this:
here - as the Asus RMA people may be back at work before ourselves...
