Creative Inspire T7900 7.1 Speaker System

    Hey Guys
I was Thinking about getting the Creative Inspire T7900 7.1 Speakers Along with Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Xtream Gamer Fatal1ty Professional from scan for christmas, but i thought i'd see if anyone has got them, and tell me what they are like?
    Speakers:
    scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=140004
    Sound-card
    scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=503578

I've looked high and low for reviews of the speakers, and i haven't found any proper reviews - has anyone got them, and could you let me know if they're any good, any problems, how long are the cables for the rear speakers?

Would really appreciate any help/guidance you could give me.

    Dark

Spend the extra and go for these speakers:

To be honest I've not seen any benefit of getting the sound card with the X-ram as I don't know of any games that really use it, might be better off getting a card without it and saving the cash to get the 5.1 speakers.

Want to spend a little extra on the soundcard because i don't plan on replacing it in the near future - wanting it to be fairly soundproof.

My Budget can stretch a little -Just out of interest, have you had a bad experience with the 7.1 Speakers? Those speakers look pretty funky, but will they sound better than a 7.1 Surround setup for gaming?

7.1 is overkill really where as I have used the 5.1's I suggested and they sound superb when gaming, really crisp and clear with a nice bass response as well, they were good value when around £130 so now they are £85 it's a bargain.

I own the 5.1's suggested and they sure as hell get my vote.

I also ditto the X-RAM comment, there's no benefit from it whatsoever so go for the standard X-Fi Xtreme Music card.

I reviewed the 5.1 kit here on HEXUS, just search for it on the main site.

To be honest, 7.1 is overkill and if, like me wires get on your nerves then they will really annoy you after a while.

Speakers have got a lot better in the last year or so, I have some currently in the labs at the moment and they are impressing me so far
Please do not message me about Scan Free shipping, I no longer work for HEXUS.net

Ah i guess your probably right - easier to go for 5.1 for DVD's and the like anyway. Yeah... your probably right about the X-RAM as well - the Xtreme Music Card will do

Yeah, I read your review Matt, i think i'll go for the i-Trigue 5600, thanks
