Something wrong with my 3XS system?

Hi All,

i starting to have very poor performance in all my games, its a fresh install of windows with all the new updates, i,ve tryed the 97.02,77.44,97.92 drivers
any idea what could be wrong?

this is what im getting in fear, setting are 4xAA and 16xAF all on high settings
@1280x1024

1 more thing im starting to see white dots and lines in my games, but my temps are fine idle 50/52 and full load 68/75.

Lee, i have spoken to Ben and he has been in system build all morning.

Have you tried overclocking the graphics cards? as this has happened a few times with customers as the GPU's appear to be locked.

Spoke to customer and discussed problem ran 3dmark 06 and looked at the results customer getting same 3dmark as one of our colleagues ben on his system which he has the same graphics cards. So what I have advised for the customer if the games performance is being affected but, the benchmarks seem fine then maybe some software is affecting the performance. Customer will try a resoftware and see if the games performance improves with clean install of drivers.

i,ve been playing some fear single player @ 1600x1200 high settings with NO AA
and it fine but when i apply AA to 8x or 4x thats when i get 15fps and below,

could you run some fear on the system you got there please with these setting to see if its the same.

its the same in every game i play when i use AA/AF

Been testing now for 3 hours with a few games, FEAR,QUAKE4,BF2,DOOM3,
and the performance is very bad, but my 3dmark05,06 score is about right

its only in games with AA/AF enabled, there was one part in FEAR where i had 3fps with 4xAA lol, and quake4 single player is a joke unplayable,

i know the card cant be right because my mate got a GTX i know its a bit better than mine but not way off and he plays @ 1920x1200 with 16xAA and 16xAF and it cuts through these games like butter

is there anything else i can try guys

Can you confirm what settings you are using in Fear and if you have all the patch updates installed?

Set it to 1280x1024 as my monitor only goes this high

I will test the game with the same settings if you let me know exactly what they are I will run my cpu at stock speeds and see what performance FPS I get with this game

my in game settings are

everything on high in the video options and computer options with 4xAA/16xAF,no soft shadows, v,sync OFF @1280x1024
