    Free delivery ?

    been trying since yesterday evening to upgrade my Scan account with the free postage offer in here,

    also tried P.M.-ing potential solvers to my problem but I am still here trying to source a nice Sugo for my pentium-m system

    can anyone help resolve this as I ideally want case delivered for Saturday, seems a shame to be forced to go to a competitor

    Stephen - give them a chance. You posted after 10pm last night.

    Ultimately the only guys that can really help are Scan and you might not get a reply until business hours this morning.

    my 1st pm was 2 days ago actually, but I'll send again, there seemed to be an error confirming my Hexus account [ I put correct user ID xxxx in AFAIK]

    I'm not usually the person to do this but: Scan work very dam hard all day long doing what other companys do not do - and thats high end customer support - making ever customer feel as if it were they first! But they don't stay open 24/7. Be patient and I'm sure it will turn out ok in the end. Remember this free delivery is a bonus if nothing else and remember to use it on orders £20 or over so they at least earn some profit.

    TBH I have the latest copy of CustomPC with a big fat ad on the back that says:

    1st rule... for a satisfied customer make... 1+1=5 give 'em more than they ask for, the best...
    specs, price, customer support, tech support, returns.

    I agree with that advert!

    well what a waste of time this has been

    finally get my free delivery account sorted, place order yesterday , get 2 subsequent mails stating progress of order and looking forward to a Friday delivery, come home tonight to see a mail saying both items out of stock and estimated "LEAD TIME" 25-05-06

    so no build this weekend, too late to order elsewhere and my money probaly tied up waiting for a refund if I now decide to cancel.

    any reason[s] why I shouldn't be less than impressed ???

    Indeed, just giving Scan a chance to explain why their stock sytem is so poor [both items remember out of stock, although showing stock on website]

    And if they in any way can salvage the situation before I decide whether to leave my order intact or look elsewhere.

    I was originally looking for a black unit but that was showing out of stock, based upon the failure of the stock system, maybe there is indeed a black one and a black DVDRW, but I can use an alternative drive at my abode if necessary

    I seriously doubt many people would have been as restrained as per my previous post in my situation.
