your forcing me to take my business elsewhere..or maybe not !

Hey guys, you are hands down the best e-tailer in the uk. I usually buy my products at another well know etailer but have had to shift because your prices are fantastic and you deal with your customers directly - which i think is excellent.

The only problem is i usually need my things next day. I'm just bout to order a 650i board but the earliest you can deliver is tuesday I need it to "play" with my 4300 over the weekend. Uni starts next week and I won't have any time then.

I'm gonna have to order it elsewhere (and pay an extra £15

When are you gonna get this warehouse stuff sorted? I fear it's loosing you quite a bit of business...

As Chris said in an earlier post - despatch delays should be reduced by the end of the week.

I agree with what you are saying, however, look at it another way perhaps:

Scan ignores the backlog, leaves the dates as they would be under normal condition, and people order and don't get their goods in time. I fear there would be a greater loss of business from that, than the open policy they have atm.

I would also suggest that not everyone needs their goods next day or sooner, so some people are unaffected by these changes (ie when I worked in IT, we would order stuff and the longest part of the lead time would be at our end, rather than on the ordering side.)

I hate to admit it but Scan is really an addiction...

When I started buying from them, I really didn't bother buying from anywhere else again.. and my purchase has been a lot more frequent, both myself and for my university.

8800GTX is next.. hopefully in March..
    Me want Ultrabook

I must admit, I invariably end up looking at Scan first, though they could do with expanding their product range (that will come in time, I guess)

Yeah there great for most things but nice memory sets are difficult to find at Scan, only expensive Corsair sticks

Well when you consider that in some cases the corsair is really only 10-20 pounds more than the generic memory but gives better performance and also a life-time warranty I personally feel this alone is worth missing a few beers on a friday night for.

I've had some generic DDR myself in the past which died after 16 months and it was outside the warranty period. If I had gone for the value select which was at the time about 6 pounds more, I would have been safe in the knowledge that I could of returned them to SCAN and get them replaced.

I call that a lesson learnt now

Anyway, I've digressed enough and will pass the comments to the purchasing team as normal regarding memory choices.
