I note that you have the office 2007 oem kits which just have the license key.
Will this just unlock preinstalled from the oems or will it also unlock the 60day trial from microsofts website?
Thanks

It will NOT unlock the 60 day trial from Microsoft's website.

Ok thanks that saved me some money
Is there a way of getting the media as well without going for the full retail copies?
Gordy,
At the moment we have been advised by Microsoft that the OEM versions are for installation on new pc's only and we can only install the OEM version on a system that we build.
Therefore unless your buying a complete new system you will either have to get the full retail or upgrade package, guess if your eligible it would make sense to go for the upgrade to save a few ££

Thanks Carl, it seems like microsoft are wanting to gouge their customers as per usual. I think I will tell the client to stick with open office.
Alternatively, check to see if they have a child in full time education, then you can qualify to purchase the Student/Teacher edition (haven't checked to see if Scan stock this!). Sure, it only has Word, Excel and Outlook, but for a lot of people it's more than enough.
Do you mean Home & Student edition? I'm fairly certain Student & Teacher has been replaced in Office 2007. If so it gets you Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote.
Also (please correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe this to be the case) if you buy H/S version you are entitled to install on up to 3 PCs, which is nice for people like me with a main rig, laptop and the missus' PC. In fact, I may well buy at the end of this month.
Yeah home and student now doesn't include outlook I only noticed that after reading some info on the ms site.
