    yeah it would be much better if you could find one which allowed you to add the second 4 pins in that way.

    It will only go in one half one pin is a different shape ;)

    It should say in the manual if it requires the full 8 pin to be connected or not.

    Some motherboards have the 8 pin socket but are happy if you just plug in a 4 pin others are a bit more picky :( Try it and see the worst that will happen is it wont post.

    For HD video playback using integrated graphics you really need one of 3 chipsets, 780G (AMD), 8200 (nVidea for AMD procs) and G43/5 (Intel). As to sound over HDMI the 780G chipset supports it...

    Looking at the manual (online) it is not in the bios options with wake on mouse etc. so i would say not.

    Why the triple core? Also be aware that 780G boards are limited to 95W processors which is what that triple core is so no overclocking.

    If your going to use it for just media purposes save some...
