    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

Rob; if you're 5850 is not doing much you can get it to work on boinc. A much nicer piece of software; I only wish folding was more similar.

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

It just crashed trying to send my completed WU; when I restart it comes up with this. Not sure if it got there or not but these problems are getting on my goat.

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

I thought mine was okay at 3ghz and 1.2V. It errored the hell out o fitself loosing about 12-3 core hours on boinc. Firefox kept erroring. Even ramping the voltages up again I still needed a restart...

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

I installed the new client and forgot to run the -smp command with -configonly. I've been kicking myself wondering why it was only single threaded its about 75% now. Instead of 6mins frame for this...

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

    Well done everyone.

My personal goal is to get into the top 200 Hexus folders! If they can iron out the OpenCL I might contribute a bit more.

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

I was hoping for something good regarding the new openCL update.

Someone posted this on another forum OpenCL/Radeon vs CUDA/Geforce (are they still Geforces?).

Would be nice if ATI cards would...

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

Client core communication error. Deleting everything you have done so far. Woot! Any fixes. I have SMP 3 on and Boinc running in parrallel using 10% processor.

This is killing me. I have lost two...

Running a 6069 project atm. The SMP command defiantely scales the CPU usage @25% per core although does not lock activity to specific cores. FahCore_a3.

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

At 85% now so I'll let it finish; Queelis saying its not so fast would confirm it is probably single core (That or my rig is quite slow. After all those nice things SJ was saying too). Although...

SMP 4 does not change anything. Maybe its an easy unit. Its effectively a quad PII.

2M. Its 12 minutes each % atm. I'll try it on SMP 4 and see if it helps......

...okay my CPU is still running at 80%. Will report back if it picks up.

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

Each % was taking about 23-24minutes. With Boinc using four cores and GPU at 100% my processor was at 100% use; a toasty 52C. Every 20k steps (1%) was taking 24minutes

Now Boinc is full time on...

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

I wouldn't try it with cable ties; you're gonna need an awful lot of tension, not sonething I would trust with cable ties.

Back to folding, I have set it up and its running 200000 steps and its...
