I need to get pushing back up the table, Stuck the PS3 on folding for a bit but at 1000 ppd its hardly worth it for the power it consumes :/

After this weekend ill be down to one CPU folding Bigadv and the GTX 580 so your lead is safe for now, if I can get a cheap S1155 CPU however I may be able to stick another GPU on folding :)

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

BTW downscaling in a few weeks, moving to the 2600 as the main box (about the same speed as the 920 and much lower power).
The 2600 and the 580 will still be folding however.

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

The 2600 is my media PC so didnt need to be the k version :)
Both the i7's are folding Bigadv units so they put out a fair amount of points, FAH mon is saying the current units are worth about 20k...

Core i7 920 @ 3.4GHz (clocked it back due to power draw), i7 2600 (Turbos to 3.5GHz on all cores under load) and a GTX 580, Also have a GTS 250 I put on when it gets a bit cold ;)

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

On my i7 920 clocked at 3.8GHz it still took just over 2 days per unit, beefy overclock on a X6 is a understatement!

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

Bear in mind with Bigadv there is a time limit on each core, usually about 2 - 3 days.

As a side note the team I was folding for appears to have died so I have moved my boxes over to Hexus, I look...

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

Bigadv requires 8 cores (threads) so wouldn't work on a X6?
