Gibbo is a big ape and so are all the mods etc. You dare say one word they don't like and you get permabanned! Lots of things you can't talk about on there. They don't allow PM's either.

Probably because they can't read them unless they change the user's password (bit obvious) and login as the user.

    Cheers,

Actually Gibbos one of the few mods who's always seemed like a nice chap on those forums, always friendly and polite.

Really? You been looking at the same forum? He is arrogant and self opinionated.

Lads, If you want to talk about the shop in an adult manor feel free, but lets keep their forums out of this. How they run them is their choice. Don't like their rules? Simple - Don't post there

Lets keep this on topic now please!

I'm also a bit arrogant and self-opinionated... and so are many I know. Does that make me a bad person? It's part of how we make it in the real-world.

Seriously, if you have genuine reasons for a grievance with them then cool... I have had bad experiences with them (shop and staff) in the past and it's why I rarely ever shop there,... but I don't agree with all this petty emo rubbish where people just slate things for the sake of it without remaining reasonable and objective. It's kids stuff.

Actually I have had an RMA, and it went brilliantly.

Yes some people are complete asshats, but then fromt flicking through this thread, so are people here.

I like both places, Hexus and OcUK, I find that there are good people on there, and most lend a hand without being patronising etc.

The point about it not being the shop's was something I read years ago, and I can't fully remember it all, but the shop it'self does not run the forums. - Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't really care, I like to post on both forums, and abide by the rules, so it's all fine for me.

Exactly, I like OcUK, al my dealings have gone well. Same as Scan. Ebuyer on the other hand is somewhere I really dislike, and others really like. I won't flame people because they like somewhere I don't, or because they don't like my fav places.

I only buy from OcUK what I can't get from Scan...as Scan is normally cheaper.

hehe what's a man supposed to do ?

In fairness to me I did point out in the advert that the memory wasnt guaranteed at 4-4-4-12 only at 5-5-5-15 . And I did send them the receipt in case they would like to splash out a load of dosh with the yoyo RMA process at OCUK !

I think from the comments I've read Scan will be getting my business now in future. What happened to OCUK, I'm sure many years ago they were very reliable and after reading through some forums tonight to get advice on some hardware I hear nothing but horror stories about them and the way they treat their customers. Scan it is then!

Its not just this forum, I've done some digging on Oc/Uk and its not good reading - No smoke & all that!

I found this forum by browsing Oc problems for a friend.

They can whistle for my business I reckon.

The Motors forum especially is ,these days, a show case for Overclockers staff to show off their newly gained flash cars - pity they forget its the customer thats given them the ability to own such cars in the first place!

    Crap company!
